Tradeoffs and checks
Measure the complete reel against the 205 mm diameter by 78 mm width limit and verify the selected bundle. Polymaker's internal storage test is not a universal shelf-life guarantee.
Documented fit and system boundary
Polymaker gives the standard Box a maximum reel envelope of 205 mm in diameter by 78 mm wide. Measure the complete reel—not only its filament weight—because a nominal 1 kg spool can use a different rim or width.
The selected Amazon record is the storage Box only. It does not include the active Dry Dock. Polymaker describes moving multiple boxes through one compatible Dock and instructs users to close the airlocks after a drying cycle. Without the Dock, this product stores a prepared spool; it does not perform an active drying cycle.
Polymaker also publishes an internal 30-day humidity experiment under stated room conditions. Treat that as the maker's example, not a universal shelf-life promise for every seal, climate, opening schedule, or spool.

Put it into your routine
Check the exact kit contents before setup. Keep seals, valves, holders, and desiccant clear of filament and moving parts. Label the stored spool by brand and grade so later drying decisions use the right instructions.
A chamber or container sensor reports nearby air conditions; it does not directly measure water inside every layer of wound filament.
